Job Description
SanoRice is growing and so is its Procurement team and as such SanoRice is looking for an additional Procurement Category Manager to strengthen its Procurement team. You will play a key role in managing and optimizing the raw material categories. You will work in an international, fast-growing environment and directly contribute to cost optimization, supply security, innovation, and sustainable value creation. You will develop category strategies, strengthen the supplier base, and position procurement as a strategic business partner within the organization. In addition, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders from Supply Chain, R&D, Commercial, and Quality & Safety.
What will you do?
- Develop and implement category strategies focused on cost optimization, quality, and supply resilience
- Initiate and lead Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) projects, including value engineering and improvement programs
- Identify, evaluate, and contract new suppliers
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including supplier performance management
- Monitor market developments (raw materials, geopolitics, sustainability) and translate these into sourcing strategies
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure integrated decision-making and execution
- Contribute to sustainability goals through responsible sourcing and traceability
- Proactively manage supply chain risks and safeguard continuity
- Act as a subject matter expert in raw materials and procurement

SanoRice is in a strong growth phase and continuously invests in innovation, sustainability, and further professionalizing its business structures. Procurement reports directly to the CEO and plays a key strategic role in the growth strategy of the company. The Procurement team is growing and hence we are looking for an addition to the team.
Education and Experience
- Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree (e.g., Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics)
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in procurement (tactical/strategic level)
- Experience in an international manufacturing environment; food industry experience is a plus
- Strong negotiation skills and analytical capabilities
- Experience with stakeholder management in a complex organization
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
- Based in the Netherlands and willing to travel occasionally.

Employment Conditions
- Salary range: €75,000 – €97,000 gross per year (based on 40 hours)
